SCM Services Ltd was set up 15 years ago and is now a major FM service provider based in Sheffield South Yorkshire. Our Managing Director Phil Greenwood who at the time was a self-employed Plumber received a phone call from a domestic customer asking if he would undertake such a small job as changing a shower hose.

Although being very busy at the time Phil made time to do the work, and then 2 years later the same lady called him saying she remembered him and that she was now the manager of a student halls in Sheffield and she needed tradesman she could trust to work within the halls.

He continued to work there over a few years and began getting more work from different student accommodation sites.

Phil began to build an excellent reputation within the industry as word spread to other halls managers regarding the great service he was providing.

As work increased he realised that it was time to set up a company that could cater for the needs of student halls and many other types of business and commercial properties.

SCM Services Ltd now have an impressive list of clients and have contracts throughout the UK but still are able to provide a much personalised service and Phil can still be seen onsite in his work clothes with tools in hand.

We still pride ourselves in providing the quality and levels of service that Phil set out to achieve in the beginning and by doing so and keeping to these standards SCM Services Ltd are going from strength to strength year on year. They have recently moved into new premises with a full working workshop, office and storage.
